Traveling far out into the deep jungles of Nicaragua for ministry isn't exactly what fills a single person with optimism for meeting their future spouse; but the Lord seems to delight in working in ways we least expect! It's been 6 years since we first met and worked in the remote village of KrinKrin, Nicaragua (picture below) located far up the Rio Coco river. We came to appreciate each other's walk with the Lord and we enjoyed a group friendship/teamwork relationship over the next three years, but didn't think anything much beyond that.... Until a trip out to OR in the spring of 2017 when Camille was home on furlough! After visiting family and friends in their old stomping ground in WA, Bryson, along with his brother Landon and sister Morgan, visited the Wallaces in Salem and headed out to the coast with Camille and Janella for a fun day trip. Bryson had actually started out the trip thinking how Camille would be "just perfect" for someone else he had in mind. The only problem was, as he pondered how "perfect" she'd be for another guy, it suddenly dawned on him that "maybe I like her for me"! Unbeknownst to Bryson, it dawned on Camille that same trip, that he was someone she could discuss things with easily and that she appreciated his similar views on things. So after lots of prayer, we began writing in 2018. Camille was living and ministering in KrinKrin at this time and email was about our only form of communication except for one visit we were able to have together in MO. After 5 months of writing, we just weren't sure of God's leading, so we ended things...…….for 9 months! Though we both felt like this was a closed chapter in our lives, our appreciation for each other just wouldn't "go away" in either of our minds....

In early 2019 Bryson began to pray again about Camille and the Lord began to confirm His plans to us both.... (One funny side note, is that during this time, Camille and her folks just happened to be driving through MO and shared a meal with the Longs.....the only thing Camille didn't know, is that it was Bryson's Birthday!!) Seeing the Lord's confirmation on this relationship in many ways we could have never engineered ourselves, we started communicating again in the fall of 2019. Our friendship and fellowship around Jesus grew into a deep relationship of security and joy. To our wonder and amazement at His goodness, we got engaged March 14th, 2020!! We are thrilled to have you share in our special day as we marry our best friend, June 20, 2020.
