Serendipity

A Lucky Road Trip!

Charles and I met at school when I was a Senior at Bowling Green State University, Ohio and Charles was a Freshman at Ferris State University, Michigan. Charles was going back to Ferris Sate from a hockey game with his team when he drove past my school on the highway and we matched on Tinder. He messaged me the day we matched and we stayed up all night talking. Living 4 hours apart, finally after 3 months of Skype and Facetime, we were ready to meet in person, so I drove to Michigan (4 hours away) to meet him. Charles was a Freshman when I was a Senior so we spent the next 4 years apart as he was finishing school. Once I graduated from Bowling Green, I moved back home and started working, which now made us 6 hours apart. Charles senior year, he made a life changing decision to move Buffalo, New York for a better opportunity in his hockey career and to complete his Masters degree. He was so much closer, living only 3 hours away so I would visit every other weekend. While at Buffalo Charles broke all kinds of records and got his chance to shine! They made it pretty far in play-offs and then Charles was called to the ECHL Manchester Monarchs! Once the season was over we went to Cancun to celebrate where we got engaged in front of Chichen Itza, at the Mayan Ruins! We spent the week celebrating not only an amazing year but the start to our future. We set a date, picked out colors and location and told all of our closest friends and family. We came home, to Ohio, and Charles headed home to Michigan. It wasn't too much longer after that I decided I wanted to move with him and support his dreams with Hockey! So I moved that following January to Manchester, New Hampshire where we currently reside while planning our wedding in Ohio!
