We met at Lincoln University in January of 2001. Camille wouldn't make calling her my girlfriend too easy, but nothing worth having should be. For three "traumatizing" months I pursued her, until on March 25th she finally agreed to be exclusive. When we reconnected over two decades later, we both remembered the importance of that date. It was on that same date that she agreed to be my wife. Back in 2001, it wouldn't take long to build a connection more resilient than we could have ever realized. Although our time together all those years ago was relatively brief, it was very significant..... very impactful. Life certainly has a way of adding so much more value to reconnecting when compared to what can happen during time spent apart. Although we spent years many miles away from each other, we still occasionally connected to ask about family and important life events. Unknowingly, we were planting seeds to build a foundation. Despite the time spent apart, we still cared for one another. What's truly amazing about this story is that we didn't always realize that not only were we in each other's past, but we were also in each other's future. It's easy to explain things away as just a chance encounter. God's plan and his amazing design for our lives is so much more. Here we are, a lifetime later, connecting as husband and wife. Ready to honor God with our testimony, our obedience and pointing others to him. We are so very excited to be able to embrace and enjoy this season of our lives along with our families, friends and loved ones. God.Is.Good.
