The Wedding Website of Camile Gloria Jiménez and Henry St. George Brooke
Question

What's the vibe of the Almost Anniversary Party?

Answer

Our dear friends, the Folger Family, originally intended to throw us an engagement party in Washington, DC in March of 2020. That, like everything else we planned for our wedding, got postponed, canceled, and ultimately reinvented into a different type of celebration very last minute. We would love for our DC friends and family join us for a soiree at the Folger residence.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

September 1

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! Here on Zola (peep the Registry tab).

Question

Are you still having a big wedding celebration on October 10, 2021

Answer

No, we decided to bag it. Camile still has a bit of FOMO on the epic dance party we wish we could have had at Valentine but fact is, we are legally married now and very grateful for our friends and family near and far who have wished us well and showered us with love.

Question

Are the rest of these FAQs still relevant?

Answer

No, all the FAQs below pertain to our original wedding celebration planned at the Valentine. So you may ignore or keep reading for a laugh.

Question

What is the dress code at Valentine?

Answer

Black tie optional, so if you feel like rocking a tux, whip it out. If you show up with facial hair or a hat, you will be asked to leave. Just kidding, it's California—the rules are lax. But we do think a hat would be a very questionable move. Unless it's Kentucky Derby status. Then maybe.

Question

Is the venue in a dangerous location?

Answer

Does Skid Row ring a bell? Yes, it is in a sketchy spot, please do not walk. There will be a valet service provided free of charge (please tip though but honestly we're paying them a ton so only if you feel like it). But fact is, you shouldn't drive if you want to turn (for those born before the fall of the Soviet Union, “turn” means “drink and be merry”).

Question

What should I do while in Los Angeles?

Answer

My Chemical Romance is having a concert on October 8th, but tickets are crazy expensive. Otherwise, not much to do in Los Angeles to be honest. The city does not have a lot of entertainment. Really just focus all your energy on having a good time at the wedding.

Question

Can we rip shots inside?

Answer

No, the venue does not allow the pouring of shots. Bring a flask.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

By kids, do you mean children aged 2 - 10? Then the answer is no. We love them, we really do, but our venue does not. Anyway, we want our wedding to be your night off!

Question

Why is the wedding on a Sunday?

Answer

Because it is the Lord's day. And fact is, the Monday after is Columbus Day (or, in Los Angeles, Indigenous People's Day) so you should have work off. If you don't, consider forming a union.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Ugh. What is it?

Question

What is the aesthetic?

Answer

Industrial Garden.

Question

What is the vibe?

Answer

“I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it” by The 1975.
