we're getting married

This love story began in 2016, sophomore year of high school when a mutual friend wanted to introduce Cami to Joe. One day in class he told her all about how Cami should give Joe a chance, after that day Cami didn’t think anything of it until her phone lit up with a message from a guy named Joe. She frantically was texting her friend saying that she couldn’t do it but low and behold she was convinced to finally go on a date with him. So, Cami dragged along one of her friends for a double date to the movies and ice cream. Shortly after came date number two and these kids were smitten. After multiple dates and getting to know each other Joe popped the question, “will you be my girlfriend?” and of course Cami said yes! Although they went to different schools and were busy with sports and friends they stayed strong through it all. They took turns cheering each other on at every sporting event, dressing up to attend each other's proms and watched as the other graduated from high school. As they survived the ups and downs of high school, it was onto the next chapter. In the blink of an eye they were celebrating 5 years together and Cami graduated college. As Cami and Joe grew together and in their careers, they found themselves packing up and moving to a new town. After a year, it didn’t feel quite like home, so opportunity took them up North to a small town near Portland and it was perfect! These two high school sweethearts had made a home for themselves with their sweet dog Ozzy. After being together for so long everyone began to wonder when Joe would purpose. After a couple more years filled with many family gatherings full of questions and nagging, Joe finally found the perfect time to pop the real question this time! And just like before, she said yes in August of 2024 and celebrated with friends and family. I have loved witnessing every moment of this amazing love story for 9 years. From the first date to wedding day I am honored to have been a part of it all. I cannot wait to celebrate their special day, let the countdown begin!! Emilee Simpson, Maid of Honor
