Rebecca and Connor first met in the summer of 2019. Both were fresh out of college - Rebecca was spending the day in Manhattan with a friend, while Connor had just moved to the city for his first job. That evening, they each decided to join their mutual friends at a bar. Their first interaction was brief, and neither knew if they would ever see each other again. Fast forward a year to July 2020, in the middle of Covid. They crossed paths again at their mutual friends’ 4th of July party (socially distanced, of course). This time, they recognized each other right away and quickly fell into a conversation that lasted the entire night. Eventually, Rebecca left as it was getting late - only for Connor to realize he hadn’t gotten her number. The next day, Rebecca received a DM from Connor asking for it (a real, slightly lower-effort, Cinderella story!). She agreed, and soon after Connor asked her out on their first date. The rest, as they say, is history.
