FAQs

Question

Will anyone be changing their name? How should we address the couple?

Answer

Legally, neither of us will be changing our names as we find that our premarital names fit ourselves very well.

Question

What date should I RSVP by?

Answer

As soon as you know! But the exact date is March 11th. If you did not RSVP in time, let Elizabeth and Sam know, and we will see what we can do! We have to get numbers to the caterers, so we are sorry if you aren’t able to join us on our big day

Question

Are Children Invited? Are there plus ones?

Answer

We do want this to be a time for adults to unwind, but we have invited some children. The names of those who are invited will be on the invitation.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 5:00PM EST at McClintock Distilling. Guests can start arriving at 4:30 PM.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have a block of rooms reserved at The Visitation Hotel, which is a seven-minute walk from the venue. If you choose to book with them, the cutoff date for having a room through the block is March 17th. Other hotels that are in the area are the Marriott Fairfield and the Hilton Garden Inn, both of which are about a ten-minute drive.

Question

What is on the menu? What if I have dietary restrictions or food allergies?

Answer

PIGs Barbeque will cater our reception! If you have any dietary restrictions, please indicate via the RSVP so we can do our best to accommodate.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes, there will be an open bar along with a few non-alcoholic options. If you plan on driving yourself please ensure you give yourself enough time to be able to legally and safely drive or make proper arrangements.

Question

How do I get to and from the venue?

Answer

If you are driving, there is a parking garage a block away from the venue (Carroll Creek Parking). For those that are staying at either the Fairfield Inn or Hilton hotels, it is about a 10-15 minute drive from the venue. For those that are staying at the Visitation Hotel, it is about a 10 minute walk from the venue. Given the foot traffic of the area, we recommend planning with that in mind.

Question

What is parking like

Answer

Within walking distance to Carroll Creek Parking Garage and East All Saints Parking Garage. Both parking garages are paid.

Question

What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception venues? Are they wheelchair accessible?

Answer

The wedding ceremony and reception will be held at 35 South Carroll Street, Frederick, MD 21701. The venue is fully ADA compliant.

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is cocktail attire. That generally means cocktail dresses, evening dresses, sundresses, casual suits, slacks, button-downs, and sports coats (ties or no ties) are all perfect for our wedding. Keep in mind that the weather can vary in April in the DMV area and everything will be in doors. If you plan on having a sleeveless outfit, having a shawl or sports coat may be preferable just in case.
