The Greeley Stampede in 2011. Just a normal night with friends and lots of laughs. I was standing there minding my own business when I was slapped on the butt! My first reaction was “what the hell?” But when I turned around there was this girl. A sawed off beautiful, blonde girl standing right behind me with her now famous shit eating grin. The first words Taylor ever spoke to me were “do you rodeo?” I’ve never been in a rodeo ever in my life, but I had to be quick and think on my feet, something funny and witty to impress the stunning woman standing in front of me. So, my response was, “I rode a sheep once, does that count?” Taylor, looked at me, smiled, and we have been together ever since that day. Our first date was probably the worst first date ever. I was four hours late, thus missing dinner but made the movie and my soon to be girlfriend fell asleep on my shoulder 10 minutes in. But, at the end of the night we had our first kiss. A kiss that I will always hold dear to my heart, one that would intertwine us forever. My lovely bride has never ceased to amaze me every day for the past 8 years. Through everything, I will flash back to our first meeting and think, I’m so thankful for that sheep and that one smart ass sentence has given me the most wonderful years of my life, the most beautiful bride, an incredibly handsome little man, but most of all I gained my best friend. Cheers to you baby…I will love you till the end of time!
