Cameron and Suraj met at UC Berkeley through mutual friends when they were both freshmen living in Clark Kerr. Unfortunately, it was not "love at first sight"... In fact, they did not cross paths over the next three and a half years as they independently made their way through Cal. Toward the end of their final year, they were re-introduced by Robert Tian, who was Cameron's roommate and Suraj's close friend. Through their mutual enjoyment of distracting Robert while he tried to study and dragging him out of the apartment to Kips (local club), the two became good friends and eventually started dating. After a short seven years of getting to know each other, Suraj proposed to Cameron on May 18, 2018, the anniversary of when they graduated from Berkeley.
