Below you’ll find helpful travel details, airport information, and transportation recommendations as you plan your visit. Flying In The closest and most convenient airport is Idaho Falls Regional Airport (IDA), located just minutes from downtown Idaho Falls and many recommended hotels. IDA is served by several major airlines and offers nonstop flights to multiple U.S. destinations, with easy connections through larger hubs. Recommended airport: Idaho Falls Regional Airport — IDA Alternate Airport Guests may also consider flying into Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) for additional flight options. Please note that Salt Lake City is approximately a 3.5–4 hour drive from Idaho Falls, so guests flying into SLC should plan to rent a car. Make a Weekend of It For guests extending their stay, Idaho Falls is a wonderful home base for exploring the region.
