How We Met

Cameron's Side: Micah was the very first friend I made working at Hall's Pizza Kitchen. I vividly remember checking the schedule before going into any shift to see if we'd get to work together. The beginning months of our friendship were spent polishing and rolling silverware under the stairs, talking about our lives to help pass the time. A few shifts in, one of our coworkers told me to chill on the invasive questions because "I barely knew him." Although true, Micah never shied away from answering them! Even though on time's standards we were strangers, I felt like I was talking to a long-lost friend. Fast forward many months, one Saturday we found ourselves free after a brunch shift and decided to grab coffee. After laughing, crying, and roasting each other we realized we had been sitting there for 4 hours. We kept hanging out when we could those next few weeks, and one night we saw a manager from our job in public and quickly found ourselves admitting our feelings for each other. As Micah likes to put it, one day we started hanging out, and then we never really stopped. Micah's side: One Thursday evening I showed up to work at The Hall's Pizza Kitchen and noticed a new face. Immediately I thought to myself "DAMN, she's attractive, I need to get to know her." Upon my intense interrogation and questioning, I learned that Cameron was an OU sorority girl, from Dallas (but not really Dallas, Plano, but not really Plano, Carrollton) Texas, and not interested in a relationship. Cameron and I became great work friends and found every opportunity to get to know each other better and the whole time I was crushing hard. After a morning shift one weekend I asked if she would want to grab coffee and thank God she said yes. We spent hours talking about life, our past, and our passions for the future. Our feelings for one another developed organically, and quickly. In fact, before we were ever official I told her I loved her and she told me she wanted to marry me haha. Well, here we are.
