Marshall and Cameron met on an airplane, January 4th, 2018, on the way to a JMU National Championship game in Frisco, TX. He was supposed to fly out of Norfolk but due to snow all flights were canceled. He drove the 4 hours to D.C. to catch his connecting flight where Cameron coincidently had already paid $38 for a better seat. They spent the entire flight talking, laughing and getting to know each other. He carried her bags from baggage claim to the rental car terminal (very gentleman like), and then *awkwardly* asked for her number before heading off for the weekend.

In the early months of 2021, Marshall being the adventurer he is, beard the cold, and attempted to mine for a diamond at The Crater of Diamonds in Arkansas. After being unsuccessful he decided to purchase a ring the traditional way. Over 3 years after their first plane ride together and countless trips up and down 64 from JMU to Virginia Beach they're back on another airplane... this time, Marshall is on the PA system and then down on one knee.
