Cameron and Marc’s story began many years ago within their church’s middle and high school ministry. Though they grew up in the same community, they were both too shy to really get to know each other. It wasn’t until years later, when they began serving together in the young adult ministry, that their paths truly came together. As they served side by side, a friendship began to grow — one rooted in shared faith, laughter, and a mutual love for Christ. Over time, that friendship deepened into something more. Marc eventually found the courage to ask Cameron out, and on December 20, 2024, they went on their first date. Nine months later, on September 19, 2025, Marc led Cameron on a drive through all the places that marked their journey together. At each stop, he shared an item he had saved from that location, along with a prayer for their future marriage and family. The final stop was a quiet garden in Chicago, where he got down on one knee and asked Cameron to be his wife. What began as two shy hearts growing up in the same church has become a beautiful story of love, faith, and God’s perfect timing.
