COVID-19 Updates

In case you're wondering about our COVID-19 plans

When we set out to plan our wedding, one of the challenges we did not anticipate was a global pandemic. Despite all that is going on, we have decided to press ahead with our wedding on November 28th, 2020, at The Everlasting Ranch, which is an all-outdoor venue. We recognize the decision to attend gatherings right now is a deeply personal one, but we want you to know we are doing all we can to keep you safe at our wedding. During the coming weeks, we will be sharing more information as it relates to safety at our wedding. We entirely understand if you feel it is in your best interest to celebrate with us some other time, and we look forward to that opportunity. All our love, K & C Updates: We want all of our guests to feel safe and want them to know some of the procedures and protocols related to the wedding: Firstly, if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please do not attend. We will celebrate with you when you are healthy and we will have our wedding live-streamed via Facebook, so you can still feel included. Second, we will be performing temperature checks on all guests upon arrival. - All servers and bartenders will be wearing masks and gloves. - Intentional Grouping/ assigned reception seating. Some tables will be larger and some will be smaller. We will be grouping people who frequently interact, such as family members, work colleagues, etc. - A mask will be made available to each guest. - Hand sanitizer will also be available to guests. - Our ceremony and reception will be outdoors

How We Met

01/18/2014

Cam and Kari had both just turned 17 when they went on a youth trip over MLK weekend of January 2014. While on the trip, Cam and Kari "officially" met at a pizza place where Anslee, Cameron's sister, first introduced them. Cameron says he secretly wanted to figure out a way to talk to Kari, so he figured he would go ask Anslee for quarters to "play video games" and use that ask an excuse to meet Kari. It worked! She didn't think anything of it until they saw each other again at one of the concerts. The people playing were not very good, so they bonded over how bad it was. Kari remembers being won over by his humor and quick wit! Cam always had a witty come-back after everything and she loved that. Each session she hoped that he would sit near her and he did! On the last day of the trip Cameron asked Kari for her phone number, which he used to text her on the way home from the trip. After the trip they were inseparable and -- after only two weeks of knowing her -- he told her that he loved her and that he knew he was going to marry her one day. Looks like he was right!

The Proposal

6/10/2019

For Kari's college graduation present, her parents planned a trip to travel out west and hike around Zion National Park. Cameron had always said he was not proposing there, because Kari would be expecting it and she believed him. However, Cameron knew all along that he was proposing there! One of their nights out in Utah, they had decided to do a sunset hike at Canyon Overlook. Watching sunsets and hiking have always been Cameron and Kari's favorite things to do together, so how could this not be a perfect place to propose?! Well, to Kari's surprise, Cameron did propose on this hike. As they finally got to this beautiful overlook Cameron started to ask Kari about all the places they had traveled to see the sunset. As kari was listing them Cameron began to get on one knee and asked "will you be my forever sunset partner?". Cheesy, but sweet! This proposal was so authentic and the best part was, she had no idea! Cam and everyone else did such a good job keeping this secret for months <3
