What time does the ceremony begin?

The wedding Mass will begin promptly at 10:00 AM.

What time should I arrive?

We recommend arriving by 9:30 AM to allow time for parking and seating.

How long is the ceremony?

Answer

The Catholic wedding Mass is expected to last approximately one hour.

What time is the reception?

Answer

The reception will take place from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Is there a gap between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes. This allows time for travel between venues, photos, and parking.

Is parking available at the Mission?

Answer

Yes, but parking is limited. Approximately 40 parking spaces are available at the Mission. Free street parking is available nearby, though it may require a longer walk. Parking is first come, first served. We encourage guests to arrive early.

Yes, parking is free at both venues.

Is parking available at the reception?

Answer

Yes. Approximately 40 parking spaces are available within the park. Street parking is available throughout the surrounding area. Please pay close attention to posted parking signs to avoid tickets or towing. An additional free parking lot is available near the YMCA, approximately 1.5 miles from the reception. Guests who are willing to drop off passengers or coordinate a shuttle may find this a convenient option. No shuttle services are provided.

Should we carpool?

Yes! Carpooling is highly encouraged whenever possible.

What is the dress code for the ceremony?

Answer

The wedding will take place during a Catholic Mass, so modest attire is encouraged. Please bring a shawl, sweater, or light jacket if your shoulders are exposed. Tank tops and spaghetti straps are discouraged during Mass. Guayaberas, colorful summer attire, and comfortable footwear are welcome. Our wedding colors are bright and festive, so we encourage guests to come colorful and comfortable while remaining respectful of the church setting.

What is the dress code for the reception?

Answer

The reception will be outdoors in a park setting. Comfortable clothing is encouraged. Shorts are welcome. Comfortable shoes are recommended. Children are encouraged to bring a change of clothes. Adults may also wish to bring a change of clothes if they plan to participate in the water activities.

What should I expect from the weather?

Yes! We will be serving a buffet-style meal featuring birria, taco and hot dog vendors.

Will there be vegetarian or gluten-free options?

Yes, we will have options available for guests with dietary needs.

Absolutely! There will be wedding cake and additional desserts including popsicles.

Will alcohol be served?

Answer

No. The reception is being held in a public park where alcohol is not permitted. Guests who choose to bring alcohol are asked to be respectful of park rules and discreet with containers.

Absolutely! Children are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Will there be activities for kids?

Yes. A livestream will be available for guests who arrive after seating is full or for loved ones who are unable to attend in person.

Yes, a card box will be available at the reception.

I've never attended a Catholic wedding Mass. What should I expect?

Answer

Our ceremony will be a full Catholic wedding Mass, including Holy Communion. All guests are warmly welcomed to participate in the prayers, readings, and celebration.

May non-Catholics receive Communion?

Answer

Out of respect for Catholic tradition, Holy Communion is reserved for practicing Catholics who are properly prepared to receive. Guests who do not receive Communion are invited to remain seated or come forward with their arms crossed to receive a blessing if offered by the minister.

Is seating assigned?

Answer

No. Seating is first come, first served at both the ceremony and reception. Reserved seating will be available for immediate family members.

Are the venues accessible?

Answer

Yes. Both venues are wheelchair accessible. Please note that portions of the reception take place on dirt and grass surfaces.

Is accessible parking available?

Yes, but space is limited. Please contact the bride in advance to reserve accessible parking accommodations.

Pets are not permitted at the Mission. Leashed pets are welcome at the reception in accordance with Los Angeles County Parks & Recreation rules.

Will there be dancing?

Answer

There is no formal dance floor or scheduled dancing. However, if the music inspires you, feel free to dance and celebrate!

Is there a color guests should avoid?

Answer

Yes. Please avoid wearing solid white outfits. Our décor features a significant amount of white, and we'd love for guests to add color to our celebration and photos.
