How do I get to Bald Head Island?

Answer

You will take a 20 minute ferry from Southport, NC to Bald Head Island. If you are driving, you will drive to Deep Point Marina in Southport, NC. If you are flying, you will fly into Wilmington, NC and uber to Deep Point Marina in Southport, NC.

Question

How do I get around the island?

Answer

There are no cars on Bald Head Island. You get around on golf carts. Most house rentals come with a golf cart or you can rent one at Cary Cart Rentals.

Are there any hotels on the island?

Answer

The closest thing to a hotel on the island is the Bald Head Island Inn. It's overpriced at about $500 a night so we suggest getting a house with a group! Most rentals are on VRBO.

What if i'm not staying on the island? How do I get to the wedding?

Answer

Your general fare passenger ferry ticket includes a tram service ride from the ferry terminal to the venue and back. You will need to schedule the tram service in advance. Are my kids invited?

Answer

If your kids are invited then your wedding invite would be addressed to your whole family. When you RSVP, their names will be listed for you to rsvp and choose their meal.

What is the wedding dress code?

Answer

The dress code is black tie optional. This means men are welcome to wear a tux or a suit. Woman are welcome to wear more a formal evening gown, a shorter cocktail dress, or dressy separates. Completely up to you how dressy you want to go!

What is the weather like in NC in November?

Answer

Please check the weather forecast the week of. November in NC can range from the 50's to 70's. Both the wedding ceremony and reception are outdoors.
