Cameron devised a plan with Bridget's family to use her birthday dinner as a cover for the proposal. The "birthday" dinner was set for Saturday, October 10th, 2020 at Black Cat Farm to Table Dinner in Longmont, CO. Cameron and Bridget's mother, Kristen, contacted the dinner location to set up a private tour of the farm prior to the dinner. Once the tour reached a beautiful spot for the proposal, family members and the tour guide found excuses to give us time alone. The tour began with a toast to her birthday, and concluded with a toast to our new engagement!
We each decided to attend the University of Wisconsin in Madison in 2013, and we met one year later. Bridget does not recall the situation that well, but Cameron remembers it like it was yesterday. We were introduced at the school union and soon found out that we both called Colorado home. In Cameron's mind, it was love at first sight; however, for Bridget, it took a few years. We stayed friends for the duration of Cameron's time in Madison, but he had to return home in 2015 due to his medical situation. We continued the friendship, and when Bridget moved back to Colorado after she finished school in Madison, the relationship began to develop. We flourished through the hard times because we always kept Faith Over Fear. We officially began our relationship on December 31st, 2017.
