We’re getting married!

Cameron and I were actually introduced through our friend Lindsey aka the matchmaker! Lindsey and I have been friends since middle school plus her and Cameron used to work at Sears in the Lakeland Mall together. (RIP Sears) I would go by the mall and visit with Lindsey while she was working. They were never busy and I was happy to see my friend! Cameron would sometimes walk by on his way to the stock room and say something in passing. We eventually all started to hangout together after they got off work then Cameron and I were able to get to know each other better. It wasn’t too long after that he started texting me to hangout with just him! I did, we talked for hours and always had a great time, we hung out more and more and more and we haven’t stopped hanging out since!

January 2023 we were visiting family in California and drove from Sacramento to Lake Tahoe for a weekend trip. On our last day in Tahoe we were supposed to check out, make it back to Sacramento in time for our flight to head home and then go into work the next day. I never made it to work the next day, we didn't catch our flight that afternoon, plus my dad missed a big 49ers game, BUT I DID GET ENGAGED!!! Once we checked out, everyone wanted to go by a lookout spot at Emerald Bay to take pictures. I knew this detour would make us late/miss our flight but at the time I was the only one who cared. We drove farther up the mountain and the views were absolutely AMAZING! At the Emerald Bay look out location the snow was piled so high it almost covered the hand rails and the binoculars used to look across the lake. The location was amazing. The views were something I had never seen before. The snow just started falling and the mountains were so tall it touched the clouds. I fumbled to take out my phone and take a photo with the gloves on and then as I turn around I see Cameron on one knee with a ring out and a huge smile on his face! I of course said yes and couldn't have been happier! This was without a doubt the best day of my life!
