In November of 2023, Alex noticed Cameron at their gym early on - some may say a little creepily - and immediately hoped he would walk up to her. (He didn’t. So she tried manifesting it instead.) Then one day, on a day she never would have normally gone to the gym, Alex decided to run a 5K. Whether it was adrenaline or fate, as she was leaving, she spotted Cameron standing off to the side; that's when 'Should I say hi?' turned into forever. She walked right up to him - fully prepared to be brushed off or to discover he was already taken - and struck up a conversation. It left a lasting impression on them both. The very next day, they just happened to find themselves back at the gym, in the same spot, and Cameron asked Alex on a date. Mirror Twin Brewery will always hold a special place in their hearts. Just a few weeks later, Alex found out she needed surgery - a vulnerable moment that revealed Cameron’s heart in a big way. He showed up with comfort, care, and absolutely zero judgment… even when she asked him to take her to Walgreens for Gas-X. That was when Alex started falling in love. A few months later, Cameron invited Alex to join him on a work trip to Marco Island, Florida - a glimpse into what future adventures together would look like. Somewhere between sunsets and shared moments, Cameron knew Alex was the one. Every day, week, and month only got better. On their one-year anniversary - literally to the date - they became parents to their pride and joy, their golden retriever, Leo. They say raising a puppy together is a true test of a relationship. (Okay, maybe no one actually says that.) But through communication, patience, and a lot of teamwork, they became better partners - and pretty great dog parents, too. 2025 was a big year for Alex and Cameron: they moved in together, bought a house, started new jobs, and got engaged.
