Abby moved to Denver and joined her friend Maddy Friedenfeld in Steamboat Springs, CO for the annual 4th of July celebrations, leading to the start of many new friendships within the tight knit group of mountain boys, Cameron being one of them. Three and a half years later and after many months of analyzing texts messages between him and Abby, Cam finally got the nerve to ask her to a Colorado Avalanche hockey game. After the game and a few {a lot of} cocktails later, Abby told all of her girlfriends that she "loved Cam." Little did she know, the feelings were mutual! Nine days later, Cam asked her to be his girlfriend and the rest was history.

Cam dropped the ball on our 4th anniversary of dating while preparing for a trip with his brother and dad, leaving Abby wondering why he could be so unthoughtful on a major milestone. During this trip out of the country Abby was wildly unaware Cam was setting the final steps in motion to purchase an engagement ring. Upon returning home, the plan would be to take Abby up to Estes Park for a day hike around the lake in town, followed by an evening enjoying a warm fire and homemade pasta in a rustic riverside cabin. Accompanied by their dog Sully on a frigid sub zero day, we started our unsuspecting walk around the lake. Halfway through the loop Cam stopped to take pictures of Rocky Mountain National park which lead to Abby pulling her phone out to capture the beautiful Colorado moment. While Abby was busy taking photos and asking Cam if he was going to join the shot, Cam quietly took a knee behind her until she realized he wasn't joining the photo. In disbelief of the moment Abby was quick to tears and even quicker to, "yes." Our perfect moment was magnified by barks of approval from our beautiful pup Sully. From the cold of the Rocky Mountains to the warmth of the Mexican Pacific Coast, we can't wait to celebrate with you all!
