Our ceremony will take place outdoors in a park on Oct. 11th, surrounded by the beautiful colors of autumn. We kindly ask guests to dress in semi-formal or cocktail attire, and if you're able, we'd love for you to embrace the season by wearing autumnal tones - think rich rusts, deep blues and greens, warm browns and earthy neutrals (We've added a palette for reference in the gallery tab). Since we will be outdoors and navigating NYC, we recommend comfortable shoes (block heels or wedges if you're going for a heel). Also bring a light layer incase weather turns cool. We will have coordinated umbrellas to provide to everyone should the forecast call for rain.
After the ceremony in Prospect Park, we will be taking some group photos with everyone and then guests will start to make their way to the West Village for cocktail hour and reception. While we won't be providing group transportation, the ceremony location is conveniently located near a subway station and has an accessible curb area for hailing taxis or requesting Ubers/Lyfts. If you're unsure about directions or navigating the city, don't worry, we'll have some local friends to help guide anyone who needs help getting to the next stop!
If you're travelling from out of town for our wedding, first off thank you so much for wanting to make the journey to celebrate us! The rehearsal dinner and ceremony will take place in Park Slope / Prospect Park, while the reception will be in the West Village, so either area works well depending on your plans and preferences. If you’d like to be closer to the ceremony and rehearsal dinner, finding accomodations in Brooklyn may be best, but may be a bit more limited. If you’d prefer to be near the reception for easy transport home after the festivities or explore more of Manhattan, the West Village and adjacent neighborhoods is a wonderful option too and may have a few more offerings. There’s also easy public transportation between both neighborhoods, so you really can’t go wrong. Just be sure to book early—October is a beautiful (and busy!) time in New York. If you're flying in, we'd recommend LaGuardia airport as the most central option regardless of where you're staying.
