Cameron and I met years ago working in the youth ministry at church. We eventually became cool and started talking more. One day we were at an event and he lowkey asked for my number (which he will deny) and my SnapChat. After awhile we start talking more and more. My birthday was coming around and he asked to take me out. I wasn't passing up a free meal so I said yes. He brought his A game for the first "unofficial date" as he says it was. We ended up going out every day that week, our conversations never stopped, and now here we are inseparable.

Alexis and I met through working in youth ministry at Tabernacle Baptist Church several years before we ever thought of dating. We were simply church members and ministry cohorts. Fast forward about 3 years later...I put on Facebook that I wanted to go Juicy Crab to have crab legs that day. Alexis was one of several who commented on the post saying they would go. I skipped everyone else message and asked her if she was serious. She didn’t hold to what she said though lol! Her birthday was a few weeks later so I asked if I could take her out and she accepted. For some random reason I decided to get flowers for the first date. I hadn’t ever did that before and now to think about it I’ve never loved like this before either. From then we just connected and never let go.

We were in Asheville, NC to celebrate my graduation. He told me to pack red for Mason and I so that we can be "festive." On Saturday on the trip, he asked us to wear the red for a surprise. We get to the botanical gardens and he has hired a photographer. He said holiday pictures were the surprise. We snap a few photos then Mason got distracted. As Mason and I were looking over a rail and the train tracks, he was getting prepared to ask me. He called my name and when I turned around, he was on his knee!! He couldn't get the words out right away. He was on his knee speechless and I was staring at him speechless. He finally asked would I be his for the rest of the life and I of course said yes.

Alexis wanted to go on a winter vacation upon the completion of grad school. We chose to have a weekend in Asheville, NC. When planning the trip It came to me that this would be a great time to pop the big question. I told her to pack red to be “festive” on our Saturday outing. Everything was planned out but it didn’t all go the right way at first. We went to a botanical garden to tour the indoor part but it was closed. It was very cold in the North Carolina mountains so we couldn’t stay outside long. I instantly had to improvise where as the pictures were supposed to be very candid, I then thought to tell her we were having a photo shoot. We took several pictures and Mason saw a train track. As they looked away I got on one knee and called Alexis name. Just as she said, I was speechless when I got on the knee. I gained my thoughts within a few moments and asked her to be mine for life.
