Monica and Camden’s story began in the modern-day matchmaking arena of online dating — specifically, OkCupid. Their first date took place on Halloween 2018 at a brewery in San Clemente, California. They quickly connected over their shared love for music, great conversation, and a laid-back sense of humor. Just a few weeks later, they went to their first concert together — Saosin at the Glass House in Pomona — and from there, the adventures continued. In the early days of their relationship, they could often be found exploring breweries, heading to shows, or camping. One of their favorite memories from that time is riding electric scooters around Balboa Park in San Diego — Camden leading the charge, and Monica following at a much more leisurely pace. After three years together, they made the big move from California to Arizona in November 2021. It was a leap that might have surprised a few friends and family members, but it turned out to be one of the best choices they ever made. In April 2022, Monica decided to visit a local animal shelter “just to look.” That’s where she met Honey — a sweet basset hound mix with big eyes and a sweet personality. By the time she returned with Camden to meet her the next day, Honey had already been adopted. Determined not to give up, they spent several weeks searching before finding her again at the Humane Society in Sedona. She’s been part of their family ever since — the best puppy ever who loves cuddles, belly pats, and being wherever her humans are. In November 2022, Monica and Camden bought their first home together in Gilbert. Then, in August 2024, during a work trip to Vermont, Camden proposed. They were staying in a quiet lakeside cabin, and after successfully keeping the ring a secret (despite a very close call at airport security), Camden asked Monica to join him on the dock — and then asked her to marry him. She was completely surprised — and said yes. Now, after nearly seven years together, they can’t wait to celebrate their wedding day with you!
