As any modern-day love story goes, we met online. The nice thing about that is there’s no stress about wondering if the other person is interested. The bad thing, however, is that if you are Bailey, you stress anyway. We spoke for a few weeks, exchanged numbers, and spoke for a few weeks more. Ever-patient Bailey, with a little liquid courage, finally asked Cam if he was ever planning to ask her out. The rest of the story brings us to today.

Cam planned a second date to Phipp’s. Bailey had never been and was excited to experience it with this new person she was getting to know. While the first date was great, it couldn’t hold a candle to the second date. Cam was the perfect gentleman. There was so much laughter and easier conversation than either of them had ever had. At the end of the date, Bailey could have sworn she heard Cam whisper those words for the first time — I love you (spoiler alert: he did, in fact, say it that day). She, however, pretended she hadn’t heard anything and didn’t say anything back. Don’t worry! It has been shared many times since.

With the encouragement of Bailey’s sister, Cam was introduced to the entire family shortly after meeting Bailey herself. In the words of Jordan: “He needs to meet them all at some point anyway. Might as well just throw him into it!” While Bailey feared that Cam would sink, he held his own and became Ama’s 14th grandchild.

Bailey was accepted into Temple Dental and had to move to Philadelphia. We moved into a small single-bedroom apartment. It was our first shared space, our first home. In this space, we experienced sadness, joy, and the love of owning two cats.

Bailey quickly fell in love with Peddler’s Village after their first visit. On a chilly December night, with a mug of hot chocolate and strings of Christmas lights, Cam asked Bailey to marry him there on a tiny wooden bridge. It was the easiest yes she ever said!
