It all started thanks to our dads. On one of their annual EFCA trips, they got to talking about their kids (as dads do) and both had the brilliant idea to set us up. Before we knew it, they were texting us, basically arranging what felt like the 21st-century version of an arranged marriage. Only instead of matchmakers and family negotiations, it was, “Hey, add each other on Snapchat” (we were mortified). Cambria's response to her dad's text was (verbatim) "pls give him my number, pls dad," whereas Jonny's response to "add Cambria Jacobs on Snapchat" was "What's that?" to which Tony replied, "It's a person" - lovely! What began as a half-serious, half-joking setup quickly turned into FaceTimes, phone calls, and late-night conversations. The first time we finally met in person was when Jonathan flew out to San Diego to visit Cambria at PLNU. From there, we spent over a year racking up thousands of miles (and dollars) flying back and forth between New York and California just to see each other, proof that love is worth every mile. And somewhere between all those flights, phone calls, and visits… everything just clicked, we fell deeply in love, and now we are getting married!!!
