If you’re craving a little mountain adventure, take a drive up to Estes Park. It’s a charming mountain town known for its stunning views, wandering elk, and cozy shops. While you’re there, check out the historic The Stanley Hotel and don’t leave without grabbing some saltwater taffy—it’s a must!
For a true Colorado experience, you can also visit Rocky Mountain National Park. With incredible scenery and endless hiking trails, it’s definitely worth the trip—just be sure to make a reservation ahead of time to get in.

The closest and most convenient option near Loveland, Boyd Lake is perfect for a quick and easy lake day. With swim beaches and plenty of space to relax, it’s a great spot if you want to stay close to town.
If you’d rather stay closer to Loveland, there are still plenty of ways to soak up the outdoors. Devil’s Backbone Open Space is a local favorite with unique rock formations and beautiful views—just be prepared for the heat, especially in the summer months!
