Cami's Point of View: At this point in my life, I was still relatively new to Austin and was over dating, but I decided to give love one last try. Me and my friends had talked about dating apps, and I found one app in particular called Bumble. I decided to give it a try. It seemed so simple: swipe left for no and right for yes. Then boom, I matched!! And there he was. I was so hesitant after finding out we matched because the funny thing with Bumble is that the woman has to make the first move. Never in all my years have I thought of coming up with a pickup line. So I gave it my best shot and slid in his DMs. We had been chatting for days and discussed meeting up. He explained to me how he was a single father, and although he wanted to meet up, he didn’t have much free time between work and parenting. So we decided to plan a movie night. Now, if you know me, then you know as soon as I parked at his apartment, I found his car and sent screenshots of his license plate to all my girls and my location. When I arrived, I met the sweetest, most energetic little three-year-old named Noah, and we instantly clicked. Me and Joshua started dating shortly after, and as the years grew, so did our love for each other. Year 2 was the year everything changed. I became pregnant with our second son, and shortly after, we became engaged. During our third year together, we welcomed London into the world and began to plan the ceremony of a lifetime.
Josh’s Point of View Once upon a time, in the world of digital connections, with the encouragement of a friend I knew who worked at Bumble was telling me to try it out. Honestly at first it wasn’t my thing so I was letting the app collect dust on my phone, a few swipes later, I found myself matched with the most beautiful, loving woman I have ever met. After weeks of conversations, and FaceTime’s interrupted by Noah with laughter, I offered a first date at me and Noah’s bachelor pad. As a single dad, it was the best I could offer at the time, I just had to meet this woman. Our first date was a bottle of wine I “borrowed”from my job and Noah, between us, watching 'The Secret Life of Pets'. Little did I know, that night would make the beginning of an unbreakable bond. From that moment forward, I don’t think a day passed without us talking, laughing, and me introducing her into my world. Our connection continued to blossom, and three years later, our family grew with the arrival of our son London. Now, as we stand on the brink of forever, I will always cherish the journey that brought us together as we now become one.
