The majority of the wedding will be held indoors. Cocktail hour will have an indoor-outdoor option so jackets or coats are encouraged.
Yes, we will provide a shuttle to and from the venue on the wedding day. The shuttle to the venue will depart from the Grand America Hotel at 1:45pm. Two shuttles will be returning from the venue: An early shuttle will depart from the venue at 9:00pm and the last shuttle will depart from the venue at 10:30pm. Please RSVP for the shuttle.
Monday (President's Day) is a “choose your own adventure” day — there are no structured wedding events. We will be heading to Park City for the day (a ~45 minute drive or Uber from the hotel). We will let you know where we plan to ski, and where we'll be for lunch, dinner and après-ski drinks. Everyone is welcome to join us for any part of this!
The famous ski town is a 35-45 minute drive from Salt Lake City. To get to there, you can rent a car and drive or take an Uber/Lyft (typically $50-$100 each way). The drive is mostly freeways, with no switchbacks.
Alcohol laws can be tricky in Utah! Liquor, beer, wine, and champagne are sold at state-owned stores that are typically open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and closed on Sundays. The closest liquor store to the Grand and Little America hotels is “DABS Utah State Liquor Store #1” located at 151 E 300 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84111. It's one mile away or a six minute drive.
