During their senior year, Cameron and Russell were struggling through finance class. Cameron spotted Russell sitting in the front of class and made a point to introduce herself next time she saw him. One night in mid-October, they ran into each other at a party and instantly connected. After a few date nights at China Buffet, some commiserating over the dreadful finance final exam, and all the joy of graduation, they decided to start dating long-distance and the rest is history!
After luring Cameron to Cornell for the weekend, Russell planned to propose to her inside Sage Chapel, where his parents and many family members were married. Despite checking with Sage employees beforehand to make sure the chapel would be unlocked, they found the doors barred! After several confusing loops around Sage, a befuddled Cameron said "maybe we can come back later..." Russell then decided to take matters into his own hands, signaled the photographer, and got down on one knee. We are so excited to celebrate this new chapter of our lives with you all!
Despite COVID, we were able to exchange vows on our original date of May 24th, 2020. We are so excited to celebrate with everyone!
