Paola and Cameron both attended Houston Christian University but never crossed paths while in school. They first met at an HCU Alumni Social Hour on June 12, 2026, hosted by Paola through her role in the Alumni team at HCU. Cameron found the event on Instagram and almost didn’t attend, but after his best friend Daylon signed up, he decided to register as well. Paola made their name tags for the event—little did she know, one of them belonged to her future husband. They sat at the same table that night but never spoke, sharing only a few glances before both left, wishing they had said hello. After the event, Paola found Cameron on Instagram and sent a follow request. He immediately accepted and, the next night, asked her out for coffee. She said yes, but their date had to wait until after her trip to El Salvador, so in the meantime, they spent the next two weeks texting nonstop while she was away. When she returned, they went on their first date, quickly grew closer, and became boyfriend and girlfriend on July 26, 2025.
