Is there a dress code?

Answer

We encourage our dress to look and feel their best on our wedding day. Formal attire is welcomed, we look forward to celebrating with you in style! Both the ceremony and reception will be held indoors. Please note that our beautiful church, built in 1889, does not have air conditioning. We’ll do our best to keep it comfortable, but we recommend dressing accordingly for a potentially warm mass.

What can we do between the Ceremony and Reception?

Answer

The church is right down the street from our apartment, so we encourage you to explore our neighborhood! The church has more options within walking distance than the venue if you were looking to go to a bar in-between. Our favorite bars nearby are: Southport Betty's Will's Northwoods Inn Broken Barrel The Monkey's Paw Bird's Nest Lincoln Tap Room and Side Street Saloon (note: cash only) are also great options! If you remain on the north side, we would factor in about half an hour to get to the venue for the reception.

Is there parking?

Answer

Our ceremony is at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. It has plenty of parking, including a lot on Southport & Oakdale, as well as a larger one behind the school on Oakdale Ave. The venue will have valet parking available.
