Krista & Michael

Our story is a mix of tradition and surprise—perfect for a romcom. Any Hallmark or Netflix execs out there? We met through Mike’s sister Sammie, who became Krista’s best friend in middle school. Krista quickly became an “honorary Moore,” always around for family events.

Over time, Krista and Mike discovered shared passions for Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, books, and late-night conversations. After every party, it was always the two of us, talking until sunrise. For Krista, it felt like stepping into a dream—an 11-year-old dream, as she’d secretly crushed on Mike for years.

But moving beyond friendship wasn’t easy. Krista was already part of the family, so letting ourselves feel something more was both scary and inevitable. Once Mike told the family, everything fell into place.

Now, we’ve built a new life together in NYC. As Nana put it best, “Krista’s always loved Michael.” And she was absolutely right.
