Tuscany in Texas at the Villa Antonia

Austin and Caly met in 2021 via Zoom as they both worked at CrowdStrike remotely as entry level sales development representatives (SDRs) on the same team. Caly's Version: I first heard of Austin from his best friend Clayton who I was friends with at Texas A&M. He mentioned his buddy Austin was going to be working at the same company, CrowdStrike, and to look out for him. He ended up joining my exact same sales team. We were completely remote so our first interaction was via Zoom in the summer of 2021. Austin was always the first to volunteer, the loudest goofball, and a consistent top performer. Which of course because of my competitive nature, I always had an eye on him. We first met in person when we had a team outing on Rainey Street and that's when I could see how tall he was in person and how loud he was finally made sense. We continued to hang out as friends many more times, somehow always gravitating towards each other. All of our coworkers would tease us and ask if we were secretly dating which at the time, I laughed at. The goofball? He quickly became my favorite person, spending hours on Zoom “training” and “practicing” sales pitches together, and evidently he would make me laugh all day long. In spring of 2022, Austin asked to grab lunch, I figured as coworkers, so I invited our teammates. By summer of 2022, Austin asked me to lunch a few more times where I invited our coworkers still. He then by the fourth of fifth time changed it to dinner so I’d get the hint it was a real date. We then went to the Grove downtown as our first date, then shortly after went to North, and Soto which quickly became our date night go to. One night after one too many espresso martinis at Bees Kneez in downtown Austin, I kissed Austin! We’ve been inseparable ever since & the rest is history! Austin's Version: The story of Caly and Austin began on a Zoom call in summer of 2021. I had interned at CrowdStrike for over a year at this point and was beginning my full time role as a SDR. Caly had worked for CrowdStrike around a year at this point too. Turns out I thought she was pretty cute. I started telling her I didn’t know how to do things, sending her Zoom links and asking for her help. I’d get her on the Zoom meeting, already know how to do the thing I was asking about and start shooting the shit with her. I’ve always been pretty funny, so I didn’t have any issues making her laugh. From there, we would be slacking each other jokes, taking screenshots of each other and making it out background and other silly behavior. My mentor and boss at the time would always slack me asking what we were laughing at and would tell me that we liked each other. I of course always denied it. Well, sooner or later, I figured out I really liked Caly and finally gathered the confidence to ask her out. Unfortunately, she had no clue I was asking her out and invited the rest of our team…at least 3 times. Finally, I told her it was the last time I was asking her out and she realized it was supposed to be a date. Ever since then we’ve been inseparable.
