Our Story
In 2014 at Howard University’s Founders Library, Calvin spotted Ebony at the circulation desk—brilliant, focused, and planning for law school. Fresh off joining Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and building as an entrepreneur, Calvin knew Ebony wasn’t one to play with—so he came correct. After a few charming attempts, she said yes.
Their first “date” was Pizza Hut, a guitar serenade, and hours talking dreams. Soon they were inseparable: walks to class, study sessions, park dates, and “humble” meals where Ebony worked. Calvin asked Ebony to be his girlfriend.
Then came long distance: Ebony in law school, Calvin in real estate and expanding Caribbean Secrets across the U.S. and Europe—still visiting weekends (and later enrolling in law school). Through wins and the loss of Ebony’s father in 2023, Calvin stayed steady. In year eight, he proposed at 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge. Now, with faith and the love of family and friends, they’re ready to say “I do” as Mr. and Mrs. Pierre, Esq.
