Please RSVP by September 7th, so we can have an accurate headcount.
Our wedding ceremony is outdoors at Heron Lake, and our reception is indoors in Floral Hall. Both locations are in VanDusen Botanical Garden.
VanDusen has maps of the garden which you can use to find the ceremony at Heron Lake. Additionally, there will be signs up to help you find your way there.
After the ceremony you can head over to Floral Hall for cocktail hour and the reception. It is right by the visitor centre where you entered the garden.
There is free parking available in the main parking located off of Oak Street and West 37th Avenue.
Yes, the garden has a couple of wheelchairs available if needed, so let us know! The garden has paved paths throughout, and guests who require it can enter via Gate 6 (33rd Avenue & Osler) as it is closer to the ceremony.
No, you do not! Just enter the garden through the Visitor Center when you arrive. Make sure to check in at the front desk before entering the garden.
Yes, you can! Your admission covers you being in the garden for the duration of their open hours (10am - 5pm) for those who wish to enter.
Unfortunately, no. While we would love to have everyone if we could, we ask that only those named on the invitation attend our wedding.
October in Vancouver is hard to predict! While we don't expect any rain based off of the past few years of weather on this day, we have rented a tent and enough umbrellas for everyone just in case. We don't expect it to be too cold, but we recommend bringing a warm layer in case it is chilly. Do note that the majority of the wedding will be indoors!
Wear whatever makes you feel good!
The ceremony is on grass so we recommend avoiding stilettos, and going for chunkier heels or other shoes instead.
Yes! We would love for you to take photos throughout the wedding. However, please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. Also please note that drones are not permitted in the garden.
No, the garden does not allow any smoking or vaping anywhere on the property, indoors or outdoors. You may smoke on the sidewalk along Oak Street or 37th Avenue.
