Hot Springs

Our first vacation together, we visited Calvin's sister Janey + her husband Logan in Helena, MT and visited their natural hot springs; the sun setting and high on love, this experience was truly magical. Our second ever vacation, we took a trip to beautiful Ouray, CO (or "little Switzerland") and enjoyed stunning 360 views while soaking in the natural hot waters; a majestic and relaxing experience. Ouray Hot Springs are within a close driving distance from Telluride & we are ready to visit again during wedding week!

Telluride - Mountain Village Gondola

Let's take the Gondola to Mountain Village, a neighboring town for a day of eats, shopping, or simply to just take in the views! Free A good way to travel between towns!

Hiking

Falling in love with each other in Colorado meant some unplanned & unsanctioned hikes! We can't wait to share in the beauty of this state with those who attend!

Eats

As amateur foodies, we're constantly looking for places with good vibes, good food & the occasional live music! If you know us & have seen Leah's Facebook posts... we're constantly thinking of what the next restaurant to eat from will be! We can't wait to eat and enjoy new menus with some of our favorite people!

Visit Silverton

Leah spent many days in Silverton during her childhood with her siblings & cousins. We visited this small mountain town in 2022 together and Calvin was instantly obsessed. 360 degree views of the mountains, an old wild-west feel, while still taking in the charm of a small mountain town. Grab a bite and a hike with breathtaking views, waterfalls, and wildlife!

One of our goals for 2024 is to show up for our community more! We’re excited to attend plays at our local playhouse in cedar falls, ia. It would be so fun to catch a play/musical while in Telluride!

Telluride Blues & Brews Festival

We LOVE festivals, people watching & of course, food trucks! -- Renowned as one of the most scenic and intimate music festivals in the country, Telluride Blues & Brews Festival is located in the world-famous mountain town of Telluride, Colorado. The multi-stage celebration of music and craft beer offers an eclectic mix of live blues, funk, indie, rock, jam-band, gospel and soul performances accompanied by some of the best craft breweries in the country.

Mountain Village

Although we never forget our heritage, Mountain Village and Telluride have certainly come a long way from its days as a sheep ranch and mining town, respectively, to being named one of the world’s top resort destinations.
