Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire and Highland Dress warmly encouraged. Weather permitting, the ceremony, cocktail hour, and photos will be held outside on grass. Dinner and the reception will be located inside with AC. Please feel free to change your shoes to participate wholeheartedly in the dancing.

Question

What can we expect from the weather in late October?

Answer

In late October, temperatures begin cooling across Texas as the autumn period sets in. However, conditions still can get very warm in many parts of the state. With as much as nine hours of sunshine each day, this is still a great month to visit Texas for lovely weather. If the weather is less than ideal, the ceremony will be held inside in the atrium.

Question

What is the best way to arrive at the wedding venue?

Answer

Taking your personal car or an Ubers/Lyfts/taxi is the easiest way to get to the venue. If you do choose a share-riding option, we would encourage you to book your return ahead of time as it can be more challenging to get taxis back from Dripping Springs late at night.

Question

Is it possible to bring a plus one?

Answer

Please reach out to us directly :)

Question

Is there anywhere you would recommend visiting before/after the wedding?

Answer

For Austin specifically, please check the Things To Do Section. Despite it's size, Texas boasts 4 amazing cities that are within 3 hours of Austin: - Dallas and Fort Worth: 3 hours approximately to drive, - San Antonio: 1.5 hours approximately to drive, - Houston: 3 hours approximately to drive. Additionally, Seguin offers a change of pace from the bigger cities and has a number of AirBnBs that are right on the Guadalupe River, perfect for kayaking if the weather allows. Alternatively, if you are looking to make your trip a little longer we also recommend visiting: - New Orleans: 8 hours approximately to drive

Question

Any recommendations for places to eat in Austin?

Answer

Yes, there are so many amazing places within the city! - Texas BBQ: Saltlick, Franklins, Terry Black, Stubbs - Mexican Food: Gabriela's, Polvos, Lichas, Matt's El Rancho - Italian: Il Brutto, Juliet's, Red Ash

Question

What are some places to go out/grab a drink?

Answer

Bars on Congress, Dirty and West 6th, and Eastside/Rainey Street are all fun and usually busy for a good atmosphere. Specific bars: Maggie Maes on Dirty 6th, Parlor and Yard (a Matthew McConaughey go-to spot), Dirty Bills (dive bar), Dumonts Down Low (old school cellar vibes), Lustre Pearl and Clive, Whislers, Latchkey and Lefty's. There will be plenty of live music around the city and always worth checking to see artists playing in ATX. Austin City Limits dates this year are 6th-15th October.
