When should I RSVP by?

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 5. Please arrive around 4:30 to allow time for parking, finding a seat, etc.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

If you are staying at the Hyatt Hotel you will get a free spot in their parking garage located on Dickinson Ave. Just head to the garage and press the call button at the gate to let them know you are checking in. At check in you will be given a permit to hang in your car. If you are staying in one of the nearby hotels we encourage you to Uber to avoid hunting for a parking spot. There will also be an open bar at the wedding, another reason to Uber! For Uber, set the destination to "The Lighthouse Dewey Beach." This is a restaurant by the hotel which will get you the closest walking distance to the venue. For those not staying nearby or those that do not want to Uber, there is street parking (including meters) which is free in Dewey Beach at this time of year. Dickinson Ave. and Van Dyke Ave. are among the various streets near the venue with free street parking at this time of year.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our friends and family get dressed up with us! Our dress code is cocktail attire. Dresses, dressy jumpsuits, slacks, dark jackets, and button ups all fit the code. The ceremony will take place outdoors unless there is rain. The cocktail hour and reception will be indoors.

Can I bring a date?

As we a have a strict guest list to stay within our venue's capacity and our budget, we can only accommodate those listed on your specific invitation. If you have been given a plus one it will be indicated when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love our little ones, our wedding is going to be adults only, with the exception of the wedding party and close family. If your kid is invited it will be indicated when you RSVP. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us!

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

If you are in the area on the evening of Friday May 2nd, we will have a bonfire out on the small beach behind the Hyatt Hotel starting at 9:30 pm. Any of our guests are welcome to come hang out with us. Alcoholic beverages are permitted out on the beach- BYOB!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

The wedding is located at the Hyatt Place hotel so there won't be any transportation necessary if you are staying there. There are a few other hotel options in the area which are quick uber trips away.

What is the timeline of events for the wedding day?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 5 out on the deck overlooking the bay. Guests are encouraged to arrive around 4:30-4:45. Cocktail hour will take place from 5:30-6:30 in a space directly adjacent to the ceremony. The reception will be from 6:30-10:30 in the ballroom attached to the cocktail hour space. Everything will take place at the Hyatt place hotel. For those who feel like extending the party with us, we will most likely head out into Dewey after the wedding to continue the celebration!

What is the bar situation?

Answer

We will have a full open bar with spirits, beer, cocktails, and a selection of wines. We will also have non alcoholic beverages for our friends who are not drinking. Please plan transportation accordingly.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! There is a spot to indicate food restrictions when you RSVP.
