#CallUstheKings... We're getting married!!!

We met when Marques was working at Burger King in 2001. We kept looking at each other and smiling. My friend thought I should go and say something to him, yet I was shy, plus, I told her he looked like a baby. Afterall, I was a college freshman at Albany State University and I was home for Thanksgiving break. He actually had just graduated from high school so we were closer in age than I thought. I went to the restroom and my friend gave him my number and told him I thought he looked like a baby. I had no idea this had happened, yet when I came out of the restroom, he smiled at me and told me he'd given her his number for me and that he wasn't a baby. He was 18. I smile just thinking about it. We were inseparable from that point forward and by the time I returned for Christmas break, we were an item. We dated for several years, then eventually parted ways. We'd eventually reconnect as friends, yet nothing more. In 2022, after a traumatic experience (lightening caught my home on fire while I was asleep and my neighbor saved my life). God told me immediately after calling my parents (since the fire company was already on the way) to call him. I called him and though he was on the road, driving his truck as an entrepreneur, he pulled over and supported me. He came to check on me, left to go on the road again, then he came back and never left my side. God is so good because we both know that he's the only one that could've set this up. We are grateful and truly blessed to have each other and our four children (his biological and my bonus babies). God did this and now we are ecstatic to say I do on June 8th at 4:00pm (also my Mama's birthday- she's happy about it). When you see us... #CallUstheKings!!!
