It all started March 2019... We have known each other literally since forever and it all started at our home church, Woodland Park Church of Christ. We sat in the same section at church for years. As far as we could remember we always spoke to each other and you know, gave that church hug - hugging from the side. Maybe it took all those years for both of us to go through ups and downs in our lives just to find ourselves with each other. First and foremost, we have to give glory to God for bringing us together on HIS time. And secondly, we give credit to aunt Regina for being the matchmaker. Alyse's story: At the time my aunt approached me, I was working in the church's nursery and she asked me if I could step out for a moment. At first I thought something was wrong but then she said, "Someone is inquiring about you." And my initial thought was, "Oh Lord, who is asking about me?!" But to answer her, I asked, "Who?" and she said "Zac." For some reason when she said his name, my whole disposition changed. Not sure what it was but I knew in that moment that God was up to something. Later on I gave him my number and now we are here about to be husband and wife. One of the best decisions I ever made. I love you, babe! Zac's story: One day at church I asked Alyse's aunt if she was seeing anyone and she didn't know, so she went to go ask her. Honestly, I didn't think she would be interested in me because she may have thought I was too old for her! But long story short, after a couple of weeks of talking on the phone, I asked her if she would go on a date with me. Our first date was like a storybook moment. We were at Pizitz Food Hall downtown and it was raining that night. It felt like we were the only ones there, just talking and enjoying each other's company. We pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. To me our first date was the best date. From that point on, we have been together ever since.
