Crash Into Me
We met on Tinder though, and she intentionally matched with me. She texted me first, saying "I love your eyes" I, being a goof, said "thanks I got them for my birthday!". She was sold, but I didn't know it yet. We met at Kreagar Park to skate on the river Green way. She used so many emojis in her texts that I thought she was some sort of druggie, turns out she was just trying to fit a vibe. Our first date was a skate, and my game plan was to hold her hand as often as I could. Every once in a while on the green way the concrete would break into a wooden bridge, and though my long board could take it, her roller skates couldn't so she was forced to take my hand. Little did she know my goal was to take her hand as often as I could on that date. I knew when she first stepped out her car I loved her, the genuine love I felt from her passing kindness to me as a stranger has been unrivaled by anyone I have ever met. Our date ended at a pergola, the same pergola that's in downtown New Haven, less than a block from our current home on Eben street. We had hangout with one another 5-6 days that first week, the second day I had asked her to walk my dog with me. Without Fonzie there, I was unsure whether or not I would get a second date, actually I was pretty anxious and quite sure I wouldn't. Never the less the next morning after our fist date I had asked her if she would come walk my dog. Without Fonzie in this story,I'm halfway convinced none of these amazing things would have happened. If I could make a doing my best man, Fonzie would be it. He was th best best man, the ultimate wing man - and in every instance where he was involved whether he was stressed over fire works, or was just waiting for me to throw the ball - his crazy energy and his love brought me the love of my life, and I will always love Fonzie like my second brother. By the third date I had asked her to be my girl and I dedicate it to my main boy Fonzie. Thank you Arthur for being my number one. It was hard to see one another, I worked at Bagger Dave's, she worked at Walgreen's. Every moment we could afford we spent with one another however, it had to be that way. Eventually Proximo and Perry Law,, every moment without each other at this point was spent as a mistake. At some point we were scared of one another, we fought and argued but ultimately we realised that we should fight the problem instead of one another. This must be the key of every relationship, if you can't find this secret out its gonna be a long and hard ride. Five years went by. Wow! I learned a lot. We've been all over the Midwest, the Dunes, Cuyahoga, Cities in Ohio, Mackinac, Mammoth Cave, the Smokies and so much more. Firstly when I asked Luis to take his daughter's hand, his kindness was overwhelming, he didn't give it a second thought - I felt truly welcomed into the family and I am glad to now be a son of Katherine and Luis. Luis, Alena's father, welcomed me with a divine kindness and with complete trust, honesty, and with no doubt that I could be a great leader, match and husband to his daughter. Thank you Luis for you kindness. Katherine, Alena's mother was a beacon in our faith with Jesus Christ. Her devotion was aspirational and though we argued I think back on our discussions with the clarity of God now, and now know and appreciate all the things she contributed and how it will help us grow into the way we will go. Thank you Katherine for your discipleship. Paul, my father, showed me how to be a man, and how to conduct my career, as well as Alena, and when there wasn't serious discussions, he made us laugh. I am a continuation of my dad in every way, and if I could give to my dad more than my likeness I would. Karen, my mother, proved to be the master chef and not only inspired me to be the cook I am today but showed me the loving and care that is required to be a husband, to be a spouse, to be gentle and to show and understand unconditional love.
