Mike and I met junior year at Saint Joseph's University through mutual friends. After graduating college, we had both moved to Manayunk and started hanging out a lot more. That winter, we were inseparable—grabbing food together, going on runs, and hanging out with our friends. Then, like a true friendship-turned-love story, Mike told me he liked me. And, naturally, like many millennial love stories...I freaked out and acted super weird for a few weeks thinking our friendship was over and that nothing would ever be the same. I've never been so happy to be wrong; our friendship wasn't over, it was just getting better. On April 2, 2013, Mike and I started dating and my life has been so much better ever since. I'm so excited to marry him this winter, at a place so meaningful to us, and to continue our journey in life together.
We first started as friends on Hawk Hill. After college, Megan moved to Manayunk, and I followed suit shortly after. We began to hang out more and more, for gym sessions at Intoxx Fitness and breakfasts at Bob’s Diner. In April of 2013, Megan fell for me when I pulled up to her house in a red Jeep Wrangler. We drove in that Jeep to the top of the Art Museum steps for ice cream to overlook the Fairmount neighborhood, which we now call home. I couldn't be happier to marry Megan this year!
