Robert and Callista first met at a party in early 2021. Robert will tell you he instantly knew there was something special about Callista. He knew he needed to talk to her. Unfortunately, Callista was new in town and not easily impressed by his smooth talking (although, he did manage to somehow get her number!). Months went by without seeing each other again. One day, Robert showed up at the young adult service Callista was attending. She couldn’t quite remember where she had met him previously, but of course, Robert remembered and sent her a text right after service. They started attending the same small group, and a friendship (followed by a few months of being frenemies) began. By the end of 2024, Robert shot his shot one last time, and Callista actually said yes. The two began to realize the similar life goals and values they shared after spending time together. Loving Jesus and serving others brought them closer over time. Robert planned a hiking trip to Door County and proposed at the top of a lighthouse in Cana Island, Wisconsin in September 2025. Callista had to pretend to be surprised because he had accidentally shown her a text detailing his plan earlier that month (lol, no secrets here!). Robert and Callista eloped on November 15, 2025. You are now invited to their celebration in May 2026. Surprise! 😉🎉
