September 2017: I remember looking up from behind the bar to seeing the newest server starting and thinking, “whoa, he’s tall” and being excited for a new bar buddy to join our GB fam. I was instantly drawn to Brady and eager to welcome him into our close knit group you share in the service industry. As we started working together at Gordon Biersch and had more and more bar shifts, our friendship came naturally. Quickly our spark grew during the Magic Monday shifts we looked forward to working together every week. Using Brady’s 6’5 height to my advantage, I would often find reasons to ask him “Will you be tall for me?” whenever working together, (sometimes I could reach on my own but what was the fun in that). Working in a bar in downtown Louisville you never know what kind of crowd is coming in, and we always had a natural ability to read each other and have fun while managing whatever crazy nights were coming our way. March 2018: For my 24th birthday, Brady got me a gift I knew would seal the deal into us going from friends to more… a Dominos gift card lol To this day I’m not the chef of our family and he knew to take care of me even all that time ago. Shortly after, we had our first official date where we spent hours eating Italian food, drinking wine, and just enjoying being in each others company. The night was perfect and it felt like that is how all our nights should be moving forward. Three days later we moved in together (we know, it was fast) but here we are 6 and half years later planning our wedding with Italian food, wine, and a love that truly feels too special and precious to put into words. Our love has always come so easily and naturally and we are so excited to continue our story and journey wherever it takes us. Brady will always be Tall for me, and I’ll always order pizza when we don’t feel like cooking 😉
