We met at a micro greens workshop at UNCW, we had both recently been through difficult situations and we wanted something fun to do to help us feel normal again. I walked into the workshop and Will was already there, I sat in front of him and introduced myself and he smiled. And everything felt like it was going to be okay. We had a great time, forgot to ask for each other's phone number and went home and realized we probably wouldn't see each other again. And then! A week later! COVID! Everyone was evacuated and we didn't see or speak to each other for 9 months, which seemed to only solidify I'd never see him again. By what I can only assume is fate, we were lucky enough to reconnect again in November of 2020; we went on our first date where we skateboarded at Halyburton Park and then went for ice cream at Dairy Queen. And we haven't spent a day without each other since.
