January 2017, remember, the big snow storm that shut everything down? Well 2 lonely bored singles decided to check their dating apps and saw they connected. A 3 hour call and dangerous car ride on slick roads to the best steak dinner, and they knew it was meant to be. A few dates later, and it was solidified. They would be together for the long haul. It may have taken longer than most to do the whole wedding thing, but that is what makes it that much more meaningful. 4 and a half years later and it is now time to celebrate the long awaited union.

I had that day off and Rob had to work for a little bit. Little did I know he was planning the biggest surprise of my life. When he got home, I was getting ready to go to my parents for Christmas eve when he ran passed me and went into one of the bedrooms in our house while hollering "Don't come in this room". I didn't think anything of it at the time. After we came back from church with my parents and grandmother, we ate and then started opening presents. Everyone was done and Rob handed me a big bag to open. After I pulled out the jacket he bought me, he looked at me and said "I think there is something else in the bag", I put my hand down in the bag and felt a ring box. I froze and started crying because I knew what was about to happen. He asked me to be his wife and I said yes. Little did I know he had come over to my parents earlier that day and asked for their permission to marry me which meant the world to me!
