Carter Mountain Orchard
A must visit, especially this time of year! Carter Mountain Orchard offers hay rides, apple picking, a Bold Rock cider room, wine tasting, live music, and more; all framed by a beautiful view of the valley and mountains!
University of Virginia
Check out the place that started it all- the grounds of the UVA, especially the Lawn, are absolutely stunning in autumn! While strolling around grounds, you can also visit the Corner, a historic row of shops and delicious restaurants.
King Family Vineyards
A favorite vineyard of ours just around 25 minutes outside of town offering sprawling farmland and gorgeous mountain views. Fun fact- this is also where Chelsea & Janis tied the knot in September 2018!
Downtown Mall
A historic row of restaurants, bars, music, and shops- the best place to go for local food & drink with a lively atmosphere!
Three Notch'd
A large craft kitchen & brewery located right in town- while you're there, be sure to sample Callie's favorite beer, the Minute Man, a New England style IPA!
Shenandoah National Park
If you've got the adventurer's spirit, be sure to head out to the Shenandoah National Park to ride along Skyline Drive, the absolute best place for leaf peeping and stellar views! The northernmost park entrance, Rockfish Gap, is only 25 minutes outside of Charlottesville, and many scenic overlooks are quickly accessible once inside. If you're really feeling outdoorsy, there are several good hikes to try out not far from the entrance of the park. You can also check out the beautiful site of Callie & Max's mountain elopement in November of 2020- Raven's Roost Overlook, a close drive from town!
