In November of 2015 I received a friend request from Luke, this more than likely was due to a page created by a mutual friend. We were both of course added to the group. I did not think much of it until about a month later Luke and a truck full of buddies were headed to Las Vegas for the NFR. My name some how came up in conversation and Luke and I began conversing back and forth. We discovered that we had both met briefly in Clarendon Texas. They made their way home from Vegas and we continued visiting. A day or two after they had returned Luke texted about 10 PM and said hey I am almost to Pilot Point lets go drive around, I nervously agreed. I think by the end of the night we had probably driven across all of Denton County. We talked for several months before actually making our relationship official on October 13, 2016. For the past few years Luke and I have enjoyed checking cows, riding horses, and mountain vacations. Luke and I got engaged on May 16th, 2019. In years past Luke had made several proposals (ring pops, leather gloves, and most recently a tinfoil ring). In the summers after I get home from work I usually beg Luke to take me to check on the cows, this day was no different except he had on a nice shirt and jeans and was insanely quiet. It is a short drive from the house to where Luke's cows are but in the drive over he managed to squeeze in 2 songs First date for the last time, and check yes or no. I did not find this out of the ordinary because he knows I love both songs. We finally made it to the gate and as always I got out to open it. Rather than getting back in I knew since we were in a different pickup I would have to pour cake anyways so I went ahead and got on back with the dogs. After feeding cows, Luke stopped where he and I planned to build a house in the future and gave me a hug. It could not have been a more perfect way for our future to begin!
