John and Callie met in 2015 at NYC's SantaCon. Both were hosting friends from out-of-town at their respective apartments. After a long day of fun in Manhattan, both John and Callie were ready to begin turning-in as it approached midnight. John and Callie each had friends staying with them who urged them and their groups to go out to one last bar before night's end. For both John and Callie, that bar ended up being Off The Wagon. And that fateful bar on that fateful night is where John and Callie met! The 2 have been together ever since, enjoying all of the things that Jersey City and NYC have to offer.

John and Callie had been due for a nice, long getaway for just the 2 of them. They thought that doing a multi-stop vacation to San Francisco and Napa Valley California sounded perfect. Callie was looking forward to this as a time to relax and unwind. John thought that this trip seemed like the perfect opportunity to ask the question that had been on his mind. On the first Friday of the vacation, after a long day full of activities including a sunset cruise, before their dinner reservation John led Callie to the park beside the Golden Gate Bridge. There, right at the San Francisco Bay Curley made his proposal, and Callie said yes wholeheartedly! They spent the rest of their vacation enjoying the special news and had an amazing time celebrating in San Francisco and Napa.
