Stakes were HIGH during Callie's last week of college. She knew she wanted to move to Kansas City and got a job interview the day before graduating. She went with her BFF Bella and Bella’s then boyfriend Ryan to Ryan's brother Danny’s new house that night. Callie met Danny there and knew right away that she liked him (way more than she liked the house, but Danny still believes she was only interested in his sweet crib). He said he'd come to Mizzou with a friend the next day then showed up alone, so Callie obviously knew he was in love. They met again at Trops AKA Frozen Tropical Liquors and all they could see was each other and all they could feel was brain freeze. Callie was worried about not getting the job but way more worried she wouldn't see Danny again. Callie GOT THE JOB and moved to KC immediately. Bella and Ryan moved too, which made for a really fun dynamic. Nothing is better for best friends than to date brothers. But they also knew that if it didn’t work out, it would be really bad. As T Swift once said, “it’s gonna be forever, or it’s gonna go down in flames”. Thankfully Danny decided to make it forever and asked her to marry him. They've come a long way since their first date, where Callie pretended to want help with her 401k but really just thought it was cute that Danny was so excited to print out all the necessary documents to explain everything. Danny might drive Callie crazy when he speaks in finance lingo and because he’s an old man trapped in a millennial’s body, and Callie might burn down their house one day because she can’t smell or cook to save her life but they both think they’re the lucky one. They share the same values, sense of humor, love for KC, actually eating OUT at restaurants (Door Dash is for the weak), Seinfeld/Curb Your Enthusiasm, and their sassy calico Cookie. Danny has made Callie appreciate things she never thought she would, like Tiger Woods and cornhole. Callie has made Danny more creative — he now knows how to pick out party decor and choose all the right angles when taking a photo. They bought their first house on Candy Cane Lane which perfectly fits their mutual love for Christmas and doing things big, just like they plan to do for this wedding. Callie can’t wait to become a Blickhan!!
